      As we move into a new stage in our company growth, we are looking for a full-stack developer to help us build an exciting new platform. Maybe you’re an experienced mid-weight developer, looking for an exciting challenge and wanting to step up and get in on the ground floor of a new venture? Maybe you’re a senior developer and you’re looking for a position that could lead to full technology leadership and a CTO position?
      Our preliminary web stack consisted of jQuery, PHP (Laravel) and MySQL, but since we will be rebuilding the existing product, we would be willing to reconsider this for the right candidate, and we welcome suggestions.

      This job is offered as a full-time role primarily based out of our Zagreb co-working space, but with semi-regular trips to our Brighton (UK) head office, so a willingness and ability to travel is important.

    We’re ideally looking for candidates with a minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience, alongside a willingness to cover front and back end (for now!)
    We want someone that knows when they don’t know the answer. Someone that knows where to look. When to use external freelancers to plug gaps in knowledge/skills in order to get the best result for the business and our product.

    • Experience with HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL, TDD, working with and integrating APIs
    • Solid database experience, including designing robust database schemas
    • Confident self-starter, with an ability to use your own initiative to get things done
    • Desire to grow a team, and lead the development of a new product
    • Ability to create high-level plans of new features before commencement of work
    • Ability to manage your own workload and priorities with the team
    • Ability to adjust to shifting priorities and manage multiple deadlines
    • Have respect for well-written & highly documented code
    • Working with version control (specifically git & gitflow methodology)
    • A good understanding of design patterns i.e. MVC / SOLID principles
    • Report on and evaluate the success/failure of a project and take steps to improve

    Bonus skills
    • Experience working in an Agile environment
    • Leadership experience
    • Python or Ruby experience – our future stack could be Python!
    • Jira
    • Wordpress
    • A computer science degree, or other relevant qualifications
